This position will be located at our Home Office in Stevens Point, WI in a hybrid work model and is not a fully remote opportunity.

What You’ll Do
As an Associate Financial Analyst, you will
Analyze and interpret standard financial activity and identify trends to contribute to the overall goals of the company. Includes analysis and interpretation of budget, forecast and actual financial performance, operating rations and trends, and industry, competitor and economic data.
Perform financial activities, including maintaining general ledger account balances, reconciliations, and journal entries in accordance with accounting principals and reporting schedules to ensure organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
Collect, interpret, verify and document data for standard reporting, including financial statements, regulatory filings and systems interfaces, for internal and external reporting.
Assemble applicable standard business, industry, and economic data to support the generation of budgets and forecasts.
Review and monitor financial activity, system interfaces, and reporting to ensure strong financial compliance to external rules and internal controls.
Additionally, you will
Execute correspondence and data gathering with internal and external customers ensuring data is complete and accurate.
Participate in various ad hoc projects intended to address specific financial and operational related needs/issues.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.
What it Takes
Bachelor’s degree in a Financial Services field required (Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, etc.)
Internship experience preferred
Knows fundamental accounting and financial analysis principles
Knows general applicable and accepted auditing standards, control framework, and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with principles involved with, and analysis and interpretation required for, preparing financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
Financial analytical, interpretive, research and documentation skills
Applied knowledge of PC-based business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications
Ability to listen effectively and convey ideas through various forms of communication including written and verbal
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or the ability to work towards attaining the designation is strongly encouraged
