Job Overview
The Associate Financial Advisor specializes in client service and supporting the financial advisor as they focus on their practice and client relationships. They are a critical component of the firm, tasked with helping onboard new clients, provide service of a superior quality that clients would never consider leaving, and teaming up with the advisor(s) to grow and optimize the business.
Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities & Support
- Handle case notes, process correspondence, and maintain client case files.
- File statements, account forms, and other insurance/investment-related materials
- Maintain financial advisor’s calendar and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Answer and direct telephone calls, as appropriate
- Maintain supplies of current insurance/ investment-related marketing materials
- Input data, print proposals, and gather information at direction of financial representative in preparation for client/prospect meeting
- Contact clients to confirm receipt of forms or request return of completed form and maintain current client information
- Prepare/print letters of instruction for client signature
- Prepare policies for delivery
- Schedule and coordinate public appearances, speaking engagements, etc. for advisor(s)
- Develop and conduct marketing initiatives for the firm
- Assist firm in growth through preparation of contact lists, recruitment efforts, branding and marketing plans
- Collaborate with centralized support as needed
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action as appropriate
- Has interest in learning and growing on a continuous basis
- Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain Wisconsin Life and Health Insurances licenses within 4 months of hire (reimbursement provided)
- Additional licensing/registration expected as part of growth of the position (investment registration, professional designations)
- Financial Service or Insurance industry experience preferred but not required
- Experience in administrative support or customer service

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
