Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to determine dental health status.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Utilize advanced techniques in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Execute dental extractions and root canal therapy with precision and care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in the clinical environment.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental technology and practices.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with child-friendly practices is essential.
- Ability to perform medical imaging as required for patient assessments.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
