Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery being highly desirable. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and effectively communicating with patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct routine dental examinations, cleanings, and preventive care procedures.
- Execute various dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to provide a seamless patient experience.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and treatment methodologies.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care measures.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid dental license to practice in the state of employment.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with pediatric patient care is essential.
- Ability to perform various dental procedures including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, and dental fabrication.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and assessment.
