We are seeking a warm, skilled, and motivated Associate General Dentist to join our patient-centered practice in Washington, D.C. Our office is known for compassionate care, strong patient relationships, and high clinical standards. We are looking for a dentist who values teamwork, integrity, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Position Overview

The Associate General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care with an emphasis on diagnosis, prevention, restorative dentistry, and patient education. The ideal candidate is confident with routine general dentistry procedures and enjoys working collaboratively in a supportive environment.

This role does not require advanced or intense full-mouth rehabilitation expertise—our focus is high-quality everyday dentistry with personalized care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental exams and diagnose oral health conditions
  • Provide routine general dentistry treatments including:
  • Restorative (composites, amalgams, crowns, bridges)
  • Simple extractions
  • Basic endodontic procedures
  • Periodontal maintenance and nonsurgical periodontal therapy
  • Review and interpret digital X-rays and intraoral photos
  • Present clear, honest treatment plans and educate patients on oral health
  • Maintain accurate, detailed patient records in our digital system
  • Work collaboratively with hygienists, assistants, and front-office staff
  • Ensure a comfortable, positive experience for every patient
  • Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

  • DDS/DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school
  • Active dental license in the District of Columbia (Virginia license is a plus)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred, but new grads with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency in routine general dentistry procedures
  • Strong communication and patient-relationship skills
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-first dentistry
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high clinical quality

  • Strong case-presentation skills and confidence in discussing treatment
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced but supportive environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the practice
  • Familiarity with digital dentistry: digital X-rays, scanners, charting systems
  • Bilingual applicants are a plus (but not required)
