Under the supervision of the Assistant Executive Officer, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs with independence the most complex analytical duties within the Enforcement Unit. The AGPA receives, analyzes, and manages a wide variety of legal documents and related material pertaining to disciplinary actions affecting licensees of the Physician Assistant Board (Board) ensuring the proposed disciplinary actions are filed and disseminated in compliance with the laws governing the processing of administrative actions. The AGPA is responsible for creating and maintaining the public disclosure information on the Board’s website for licensees, pursuant to specific Business and Professions Code public disclosure requirements. The AGPA ensures the Board complies with all applicable statutes and regulations governing public disclosure information and Federal government reporting requirements relative to disciplinary action taken by the Board against a licensee. The AGPA reports directly to the Assistant Executive Officer; however, may receive assignments from the Executive Officer.

The Board regulates the practice of physician assistants ensuring only qualified persons are licensed and that appropriate standards of competency and practices are established and enforced. The Board is mandated to make public protection its highest priority in exercising licensing, regulatory, and disciplinary functions.
