Why does the job exist?
This level of the Human Resource classification is the entry-level generalist position that supports the work of senior HR Professionals in the Children, Youth and Families Agency.
How does it get done?
Serves as support position to HR with regards to personnel related actions including:
20% Assist with the creation of job orders
20% Prepare background check requests for hires, promotions, transfers, stipend applicants, and interns
20% Electronic filing of personnel files, position files, etc. for the Albuquerque Office
10% Assist with setting up interviews and preparing packets for interview panel
10% Enter and Track Employee Evaluation status
10% Submit System Access Request Forms for new employees, assist in ordering laptops, phones, etc.
5% Conduct personnel record reviews
5% Other personnel activities upon assignment by supervisor
Minimum Qualification
Associate degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
