Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Management Analyst to support the accurate and timely delivery of operational data across key datasets — Client & Portfolio (C&P), Securities and Reference Data, Index/Benchmark, and Pricing. The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity, maintain master data, perform exception management, and collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate investment operations and client reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform setup and maintenance of security, index, and price data on the global Data Management platform.
- Execute data validation and quality checks on security master, index, and pricing data.
- Monitor and reconcile daily data feeds received from multiple internal and external sources.
- Review exception and missing price reports, research and update prices for illiquid securities, and maintain manual pricing spreadsheets.
- Manually input and verify prices from multiple market data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE).
- Recalculate Private Equity (PE) prices following events such as drawdowns or revaluations.
- Manage shared team mailboxes and ensure all data-related queries are resolved promptly and accurately.
- Support the Line Manager in data projects, process enhancements, and testing of new system releases or change requests.
- Maintain and monitor the team’s automated processes (bots/robots) and ensure consistent data delivery.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, accuracy, and SLA compliance standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of data management processes, security master setup, and reference data operations.
- Basic understanding of securities data (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives), pricing, and index data.
- Familiarity with Corporate Action Event Pricing methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, macros, VBA, Power Query), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to SQL or other data query tools for validation and reporting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate across business and technical teams.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-volume data environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- Experience in asset management or financial data operations.
- Knowledge of Aladdin, S&P (Markit) EDM, T24, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with data vendors such as Refinitiv Eikon, Datascope, Bloomberg, and ICE.
- Certification or coursework in Finance or Data Management (e.g., IOC, IMC, Xceptor Practitioner).
- Experience working on projects with a substantial data automation or data quality component.
