Job Summary
The Associate IT Administrator assists with IT Services support across one of the Services areas: Systems and DR, Networking and Security, or DevOps. This role requires close collaboration with other IT Services Teams to ensure reliable and timely delivery of practical technical solutions. The role is that of a technical contributor, works collaboratively with other team members, and is responsible for delivering solutions that meet the needs of the business. The strength of the role is to be an implementer across a wide range of areas for the team and has the expectation implement policies, procedures and processes that meet the organizational standards for quality and timeliness.

You will need to reside within 50 miles of our Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ as this role has the option of hybrid or onsite.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Dependent on Team
    • Systems Services & DR
      • Monitor and maintain all mission critical infrastructure, systems and applications
      • Promote continuous improvement of systems, virtualization, and server infrastructure
      • Evaluate and remediate any technology, process, or resourcing risks
    • Network & Security
      • Provide 1st tier networking support; by implementing standard changes, troubleshooting and providing corrective actions to resolve networking problems
      • Assist with managing all corporate networking infrastructure
      • Assist with build-out and rollout of network automation
    • DevOps
      • Focus on build and release management and provide support for the deployment pipeline
      • Assist the DevOps Engineers to ensure an automated deployment pipeline is successful all the way through to production.
  • Management/Teamwork
    • Implement processes and procedures for supporting all departments and business units across the organization
    • Foster positive relationships with end-users, internal teams and drive customer satisfaction
    • Assist team with daily tasks, prioritization, and triage, and troubleshooting
    • Work with IT Manager and Senior Administrators and Engineers to build, support, maintain all systems infrastructure
    • Maintain up-to-date inventory of all IT Services related equipment, software, and licenses
    • Communicate effectively and keep all stakeholders informed and consulted where appropriate
    • Ensure that all tools and processes are documented and checked into version control, treating infrastructure and deployments as code
    • Provide support after hours for maintenance windows, as needed


Works under the direction of more senior administrators and engineers, and reports to the IT Manager.


Requirements

  • Typical incumbent will have 2+ years’ of progressive work experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and troubleshoot with non-technical end users across all levels of the organization while maintaining both a sense of urgency, and a calm and professional demeanor.

  • Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to rapid changes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others.
  • Some night and weekend work required, rotating on-call responsibility.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience (preferred) and proven knowledge to related tools/tasks (certifications).
  • Bachelors or Associate technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience preferred in addition to the minimum experience.
  • Strong attendance record at Consumer Cellular (or equivalent).

Pay & Benefits Data (in accordance with the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act)


  • Minimum Salary: $69,300
  • Maximum Salary: $93,450

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
