Job description
In this role, he/she will take the lead in delivering high-profile landscape architecture projects, ensuring excellence from initial concept to final construction. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to guide design teams, develop innovative yet practical solutions, and maintain rigorous quality control throughout all project phases. He/she will serve as a critical link between creative vision and real-world execution, collaborating with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to create exceptional outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Drive the development and execution of complex landscape projects, with a focus on detailed design, construction documentation, and site implementation.
- Project Management: Handle multiple assignments concurrently, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and compliance with technical and design standards.
- Documentation Oversight: Direct the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and tender packages, incorporating regional best practices and regulations.
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work seamlessly with urban designers, architects, engineers, and external partners to ensure cohesive and technically sound project outcomes.
- Team Mentorship: Guide and develop junior and mid-level landscape architects, offering expertise in technical detailing, documentation protocols, and industry best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve team deliverables to guarantee consistency with project goals, client expectations, and firm standards.
- Training & Development: Provide hands-on support in software applications, material selection, and advanced construction detailing techniques.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving challenges, and ensuring smooth project progression.
- Site & Design Reviews: Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and site inspections, offering technical insights and troubleshooting construction-related issues.
- Reporting & Presentations: Assist in preparing technical reports, design narratives, and project presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Business Development Support: Contribute to proposal writing, fee estimation, and resource allocation in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Innovation & Growth: Identify opportunities to enhance the team s technical capabilities and introduce innovative approaches to landscape design.
Required profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture (candidates with an Architecture background should ideally hold a Master s in Landscape Architecture).
- 12+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, large-scale projects.
- Proven expertise in technical design, construction documentation, and site supervision.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and managing multidisciplinary collaborations.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
Position to be based in Dubai, UAE.
