Associate Legal Counsel

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Firm Advice is conducting a search on behalf of a long-term, Northern Virginia client that is the market leader in technology security products. The Associate Legal Counsel will work with business and technical teams to draft and negotiate domestic and international technology, manufacturing, and other commercial sales agreements with customers. Selected attorney will also assist n employee training of company's Contract Policy.

Position is hybrid, 2 days per week, in Northern Virginia.

Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $160,000, depending on skills and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• JD and license to practice in at least one state in the US; ability to be admitted to VA Bar as Corporate Counsel
• 4 plus years’ experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology contracts, including a deep understanding of legal and business risk issues, and a good working knowledge of IP licensing matters, hosting services, manufacturing and hardware and software solutions.
• Experience with export controls plus.
• Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously within deadlines.
• Must enjoy working in a creative, collaborative environment.
