Associate Litigation Attorney

Artiano Shinoff is a medium-sized law firm seeking an Trial Attorney with 1+ years of litigation experience in the areas of personal injury, employment law, and/or public-entity law. We are primarily defense oriented, but also handle some plaintiff work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in taking and defending depositions, conducting written discovery, trial experience (see above) and perhaps some administrative-hearing experience. Our office is busy, but we believe in employees having a satisfying work/ life balance. This is an "in office" position, although there may be some flexibility to work from home at times. Pay will be commensurate with experience in the range expressed. The job duties include:

• Preparing for trial, and trying cases
• Conducting legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
• Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Preparing and responding to discovery requests
• Representing clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients
• Collaborating with other attorneys in the office and clients to develop case strategies
• Staying updated on relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state of California
• Proven experience in trial
• Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to litigation and ethical mindset
• Proficient in legal research on Westlaw
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
