Associate Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities:

  • Gather evidence and testimony from a range of witnesses for use in Illinois worker’s compensation hearings
  • Court appearances as necessary
  • Maintain records and evidence registers for short- and long-term cases
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with clients and their staff at all levels
  • Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients and oversee file handling
  • Keep track of all billable time for invoicing purposes

You will need:

  • A law degree and at least 2 years’ experience in the legal profession
  • Sound knowledge of Illinois worker’s compensation with experience in the sector
  • Experience in mediation and negotiation with a confident and measured approach to conflict resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including strong presentation skills
  • Effective use of computer systems for our client database management and billing
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Good organizational skills and capacity to be detail-oriented
  • High level of integrity and professional accountability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
