BharatCares® is seeking a dynamic and field-oriented Associate Manager – Government Collaboration to be based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The role will work closely with state and district government departments, line agencies, and senior leadership, supporting planning, coordination, and execution of government-linked development and CSR initiatives.
The Associate Manager will act as a key bridge between BharatCares®, government stakeholders, and field teams, ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, reporting, and follow-through of priority programs across the state.
1. Government Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with state, district, and block-level government departments, statutory bodies, and allied institutions.
- Coordinate with senior government offices and leadership for priority programs, reviews, and follow-ups.
- Facilitate inter-departmental coordination to ensure alignment, approvals, and timely execution of initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key government stakeholders.
2. Program Implementation & Monitoring
- Support planning, rollout, and on-ground implementation of government and BharatCares®-led initiatives.
- Track program progress against defined milestones and outcomes.
- Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks and proactively flag them to leadership.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities, validate data, and support field teams.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare periodic progress reports, presentations, dashboards, and MIS for internal leadership and government stakeholders.
- Document meeting minutes, action points, and compliance-related updates.
- Support preparation of concept notes, project briefs, review documents, and government submissions.
4. Research, Analysis & Knowledge Support
- Conduct secondary research, situational analysis, and data reviews to inform program design and decision-making.
- Support evidence-based recommendations for program improvement, replication, and scale-up.
- Capture best practices, case studies, and learnings from field implementation.
5. Support to Program & Operations
- Support day-to-day coordination with internal teams, partners, and consultants.
- Assist in organizing government meetings, reviews, workshops, and capacity-building sessions.
- Take up special assignments and priority tasks as required by leadership.
- Postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience working with government departments, CSR projects, development programs, or public policy initiatives.
- Prior experience working with state government systems or large-scale programs will be an added advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong stakeholder coordination and government liaison skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi (knowledge of local language is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic government environment.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
- High ownership, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel across the state.
Reporting & Work Location
- The position will be based in Raipur & Bastar, Chhattisgarh.
- The Associate Manager will report to the designated authority within BharatCares® leadership/project management team.
- Regular interaction with senior government officials, district administrations, and field teams is expected.
