Associate Manager Mechanical - BFS

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible to conduct maintenance related activities of Blow Fill Seal (BFS) Line machine from scratch. The incumbent will be responsible to build Maintenance Team for both the sections, and will additionally be responsible to provide on time maintenance assistance & troubleshooting of all BFS Production machines in general & night shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and ensure all maintenance activities adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels.
• Promote safety culture, and identify risks associated with equipment operation
• Manage and mentor a team of mechanical technicians, identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs to enhance team capabilities and performance.
• Manage the objectives of both 3P and permanent staff, and spare parts inventory of all mechanical parts installed in OSD Packaging machines within the allocated budget.
• Implement advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging, to predict equipment failures before they occur.
• Lead investigations into recurring equipment failures, utilizing methodologies like Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for BFS production machines.
• Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to anticipate equipment failures and address issues proactively, and utilize SAP PM Module to track maintenance activities, manage work orders, and maintain equipment history records.
• Responsible to identify critical spares of machine and ensure spares are available before taking machine on maintenance, conduct LOTO activities, and close notifications on SAP PM Module.
• Responsible to perform Pareto Analysis of all Equipment and share with maintenance team on monthly basis.
• Ensure works permits (Work approval & Safety Permit) to be assigned, approval to be taken before performing maintenance and execution.

Job Requirements:

The candidate must have/be:

• a B.E Mechanical degree
• A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant work experience preferably in a supervisor role for any reputed Manufacturing Organization. (Preferably Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry).
• worked on static & rotating equipment; experience with utilities (steam, water, compressed air, cooling systems); preventive & corrective maintenance.
• the ability to lead, assign tasks, mentor, manage performance, coordinate with other groups (QA, Production, Utilities).
• Experience applying maintenance KPIs; experience in lean, Six Sigma, or reliability engineering. Reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, root cause analysis of failures.
• Proficient in maintenance management system like SAP
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and failure mode analysis
