Associate Manager, Media Buying - LTE

Job Summary


This is a full-time limited term employment (LTE) position anticipated to last for 6 months. Immediate start date.

Join Spectrum Brands (NYSE: SPB), a multi-billion dollar global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) powerhouse with a portfolio of powerful, globally recognized brands. We are currently seeking a remote Associate Manager, Media Buying. This role supports the planning, negotiation, activation, and optimization of media campaigns across digital and traditional channels. This role partners closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure campaigns deliver against brand goals while managing budgets with accuracy and discipline. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, analytical, and proactive, bringing both executional excellence and emerging strategic capability.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities


30% Media Planning & Strategy Support

  • Assist in developing media strategies aligned with campaign objectives and target audiences.
  • Contribute to channel planning across digital (paid social, display, programmatic, search), video, and OOH as applicable.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Insights teams to ensure integrated campaign planning.
  • Support annual planning and scenario planning activities, including budget modeling and media mix alternatives.

30% Media Buying & Execution

  • Support day‑to‑day execution of media buys including placement setup, pacing, QA, and delivery oversight.
  • Help negotiate rates and added value with media partners under guidance of the Media Manager.
  • Coordinate with vendors and agency partners to ensure accurate, timely campaign execution.

15% Budget & Financial Management

  • Manage and track portions of the media budget with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reconcile invoices, verify delivery, and maintain transparent and up‑to‑date spend tracking.
  • Provide forecasts, pacing updates, and variance explanations to leadership as needed.

Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in media buying or paid media management (digital preferred).
  • Strong understanding of core media metrics (CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS, reach/frequency).
  • Hands-on experience with ad platforms (The Trade Desk, Amazon Ads, DV360, Meta, or similar).

Required Skills
  • Excellent analytical skills; comfortable with Excel and data dashboards.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Executes with excellence, consistently delivering high-quality work on time while managing priorities effectively
  • Proactive problem-solver who can adapt quickly to a dynamic digital landscape
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a remote team environment
