Responsibilities:
3.1 Principal Accountabilities
• Provides operational support, incident and problem handling for SharePoint Services.
• Administration and Maintaining SharePoint Services.
• Design and Implement DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) for SharePoint Service.
• Be aware of Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper -V)
• Plans, designs, implements, documents and administers Microsoft SharePoint
• Provide SharePoint administration including SharePoint and SQL Server patching, preventive maintenance, performance optimization.
• Monitors System and Event logs and activity on all SharePoint Servers to ensure system health and deal with errors before affecting Service.
• Work together with other Teams to Maintain SharePoint Service availability, Scalability, Reliability and Performance.
• Work closely with the PMO to ensure proper planning and execution of projects and initiatives.
• Researches, installs, and tests SharePoint and SQL server Patches and Updates.
• Facilitates Site moves and relocations without affecting Service availability and Performance.
• Implements SharePoint Requirement and Business needs.
• Supports the organization and units with advice and guidance related to SharePoint solutions and Technologies.
• Develop Systems design, Implementation and Test documentation
• Provides training and opportunities for learning SharePoint technologies to all employees and consultants.
• Works closely with others within the IT function to define metrics which are used to measure and communicate the efficiency and effectiveness of SharePoint Environment.
• Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion
• Strives to learn the job functions of the position's immediate group leader. It is the responsibility of the individual to be prepared for temporary re-assignment and/or promotion due to extended illness, personal emergency or business necessity.
• Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation or education
• Participate in the 24x7 On-Call support Rota if required
3.2 Authority
• Oversee the activities of SharePoint Environment , including scheduling and prioritizing these activities
• Coordinate the activities related to SharePoint Environment with other IT and the enterprise groups
• Represent the enterprise when working with vendors on SharePoint Related issues
• Provide technical SharePoint leadership to IT and the enterprise
Mandatory Skills Description:
• Requires experience in administration of MS SharePoint on premise and online versions.
• Good knowledge in maintaining servers for standard Internet services such as DNS, SMTP and mail.
• Experience in SharePoint applications installation and configuration
• Experience in Vitalization (VMware and Hyper-v)
• Good knowledge in setting up Microsoft Cluster environments
• Good Knowledge with all versions of Windows desktop operating systems.
• Understanding of the administration of SQL database servers.
• Knowledge of standard backup procedures and management and ability to restore needed data from backup.
• Good knowledge in Enterprise System Management Products
• Familiar with networking technologies such TCP/IP, VLANs, Switching, Load balancing, LAN/WAN technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot, address and Solve SharePoint Issues.
• Good experience in IT Governance, Service Support and Delivery Processes (ITIL)
• SharePoint Administration Certified.
• Good verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
• Open, positive and co-operative attitude to colleagues
• Good customer-care attitude
• 'Team player', with a positive 'can do' attitude

• BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration or related field required
