Overview
The Associate Marketing Analyst, Growth and Lead Generation will play a key role in driving Hearst Bay Area’s B2B marketing performance through data-driven campaign execution and optimization. This role focuses on identifying, targeting, and converting potential advertisers and partners through paid and organic marketing channels.

The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to apply both creative and technical skills to improve campaign efficiency. They’ll work within platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and AI-assisted tools to maximize ROI and improve audience targeting. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level marketer ready to grow their expertise in digital acquisition, automation, and marketing analytics within a leading media organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Campaign Optimization

  • Support the execution and optimization of multi-channel lead-generation campaigns across paid search, paid social, and organic platforms

  • Manage campaign setup, targeting, and performance tracking in HubSpot and related ad platforms

  • Leverage AI-driven insights and automation tools to test creativity, improve conversion rates, and increase campaign efficiency

  • Collaborate with sales to refine lead quality and nurture workflows that drive advertiser engagement

  • Create and maintain always-on lead-nurture sequences and retargeting campaigns to improve conversion rates

  • Manage chatbot function in HubSpot to ensure all inquiries are processed in a timely manner

2. Marketing Analytics & ROI Tracking

  • Analyze campaign performance metrics to identify trends, optimize spend, and improve ROI

  • Assist in building dashboards and performance reports that visualize lead generation, conversion rates, and acquisition costs

  • Conduct experiments (A/B testing, audience segmentation, timing, etc.) to continuously improve results

  • Contribute to marketing budget tracking and forecasting

  • Ensure campaign data is accurately captured and synced across HubSpot, Salesforce (or other CRMs), and analytics tools

  • Create post-campaign reports that document key learnings and best practices

3. Paid & Organic Channel Management

  • Assist in managing digital ad placements and organic outreach through Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and other platforms

  • Optimize landing pages, ad copy, and targeting strategies to maximize engagement and lead quality

  • Collaborate with internal creative teams to ensure campaigns align with brand standards

  • Explore emerging digital channels (e.g., Reddit Ads, TikTok, programmatic display) to diversify lead acquisition

4. Marketing Operations & Collaboration

  • Maintain campaign calendars, timelines, and reporting schedules

  • Support process improvements in marketing automation, including HubSpot workflow optimization

  • Contribute to the adoption and effective use of new AI and analytics tools

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, product marketing, design) to align campaigns with business goals

  • Collaborate with the content marketing team to develop high-performing assets (landing pages, emails, social posts)

  • Assist with marketing events as needed (not required)

  • Document and share process improvements and tool usage guides

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in marketing, digital advertising, or growth marketing (internships included)

  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data interpretation and performance tracking

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Analytics, Salesforce, and ad platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta) is a plus

  • Interest in AI-driven marketing tools and automation technologies

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced media environment

Success Metrics

  • Increased volume and quality of marketing-generated leads

  • Improved campaign ROI and cost-per-acquisition (CPA)

  • Demonstrated use of AI or automation tools to enhance campaign performance

  • Timely delivery of campaigns and accurate performance reporting

  • Active contribution to a culture of testing, learning, and optimization
