Associate Merchandiser

Associate Merchandiser

We are a fast-scaling, technology-driven lifestyle brand operating across multiple markets across EMENA. With a strong presence across both e-commerce and physical retail, we operate at the intersection of fashion, accessories, and brand experience, with jewellery as one of our key growth categories.

This is a senior individual contributor role within our Central Merchandising function, focused on the jewellery category and working closely with category leadership and cross-functional partners across Buying, Supply Chain, Finance, and Online Merchandising.

About the Role

The Associate Merchandiser takes end-to-end ownership of OTB management, demand planning, and in-season trading performance for the jewellery category. You will report into the Merchandising Manager and contribute directly to category financial reviews and seasonal strategy.

What You Will Own

FINANCIAL PLANNING AND OTB

  • Own the OTB plan for the jewellery category end-to-end, from seasonal build through to in-season reforecasting
  • Run scenario modelling to support markdown and clearance decisions, protecting margin while managing stock health
  • Contribute to half-year and full-year financial reviews with structured category reporting

DEMAND PLANNING AND INVENTORY

  • Lead the demand planning cycle for jewellery, setting forecast parameters and monitoring accuracy against targets
  • Define inventory deployment strategies that balance product availability with OTB efficiency across channels
  • Identify demand and stock risks early and develop mitigation plans in partnership with Buying

IN-SEASON TRADING

  • Own weekly in-season trading reviews for the jewellery category, tracking performance against plan
  • Recommend and execute pricing, markdown, and promotional actions to protect financial targets
  • Monitor channel performance and escalate material risks to the Merchandising Manager with clear impact assessment

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Align with Buying, Supply Chain, Finance, and Online Merchandising on category planning and inventory decisions
  • Provide demand and inventory insight to Online Merchandising to support on-site trading and product visibility
  • Partner with Finance on budget reconciliation and category financial governance

What We Are Looking For

  • 6 to 9 years in merchandising with category ownership and team management experience
  • Advanced OTB management, demand forecasting, and P&L analysis capability
  • Multi-category management experience in a fast-paced retail or e-commerce environment
  • Strong commercial communication and cross-functional influencing skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field; postgraduate preferred

Key Success Metrics

Category OTB adherence, forecast accuracy, inventory turn vs target, category margin vs plan, and team planning quality.
