Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join the Broadmeadows Adult Inpatient Unit.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
This role requires you tol bring advanced clinical expertise and strong leadership to our inpatient unit.
Building on the foundational responsibilities of the Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care while role‑modelling our values of patient‑centred care, trust and respect.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will support the Program Manager and Team Leader in ensuring safe, efficient daily operations, effective resource management, and a positive, supportive workplace culture.
You will also step into delegated management responsibilities in their absence, requiring a solid understanding of administrative and operational processes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Registration as a registered nurse under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act (2009) with AHPRA
- Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Mental health
- Demonstrated experience in Acute Psychiatry Inpatient Services
- You will be expected to work a rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shift
