- Register walk-in, appointment, and referral patients accurately in the HIS.
- Generate and explain consultation, investigation, and pharmacy bills.
- Collect payments (cash, card, UPI, insurance co-payments) and reconcile daily collections.
- Coordinate with diagnostic departments (lab, radiology) for order entry and report tracking.
- Assist patients with queries regarding OP billing and procedures
- Open and maintain accurate patient files upon admission with relevant billing categories (self-pay, corporate, TPA, etc.).
- Ensure timely and correct posting of services, procedures, doctor visits, and investigations.
- Track bed charges, shifts, and room upgrades and apply charges accordingly.
- Generate interim and final bills with complete verification.
- Liaise with nurses, consultants, and pharmacy for documentation and billable entries.
- Pre-authorisation form coordination: Collect, verify, and submit necessary documents to TPA/insurance desk.
- Follow-up on approvals, queries, and enhancements with the insurance company.
- Guide patients on insurance coverage, exclusions, and balance payments (if any).
- Coordinate discharge formalities including final authorization and billing closure.
- Update and maintain insurance logs, denial records, and claim status.
- Ensure patient records and billing data are updated and stored per hospital policy.
- Maintain confidentiality and patient data integrity.
- Escalate system or service errors to supervisors promptly
