Associate payroll Accountant

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Job summary:

To processes employee salaries, maintain payroll data and records, and ensure monthly payroll reconciliation. Collect and gather employee time and attendance data, and calculate employee salaries, deductions, and overtime.


General Responsibilities:

  • Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems
  • Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
  • Reporting
  • Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business policies and standards.
  • Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
  • Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.


Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the payroll processes, framework and philosophy established.
  • Collect and gather employee time and attendance data, including hours worked, leaves, and other relevant information required for accurate payroll processing.
  • Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and overtime based on the collected data and ensure accuracy through verification and cross-checking of calculations.
  • Process employee salaries by accurately inputting the calculated data into the payroll system and generating paychecks or direct deposit files.
  • Ensure monthly payroll reconciliation. Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly payroll dashboards.
  • Maintain employee payroll data and records for audit purposes.
  • Operate and execute all decisions with financial impact within payroll.
  • Operate and execute records of all employee information in order to update database periodically.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of payroll information and adhering to data protection policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, regulations, and company policies; stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, employment regulations, and other relevant legislation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems. Provide suggestions for streamlining workflows, identifying areas for automation, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

HSE, Security, and Risk Protocols:

  • Report to their immediate line manager any situation which they have reason to believe could present a risk, hazard, or issue to an individual or the company and which they cannot correct themselves.
  • Report all HSE and security incidents and work-related injuries.
  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace that supports the interest of HSE, security and welfare.


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

Upto 3 years of relevant working experience
