The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) offers a range of programmes that promote research and education in governance and public policy. To equip faculty and students with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the governance challenges and improve government efficiency in India, JSGP’s programmes are designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the complex issues surrounding public policy and administration.

Position Summary:

The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) invites applications for full-time faculty positions to be appointed from the Spring 2026 semester (February 2026) or earlier. We invite applications from candidates in Philosophy with a broad interest in public policy, and a specialisation in one or more of the following areas:

•Indian Philosophy

•Moral Philosophy

•Classical and Modern Western Philosophy

•Philosophy of Mind

•Metaphysics

•Epistemology

•Philosophy of Language

Appointments will be made at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience.

Roles and responsibilities:

Faculty members will be expected to follow the roles and responsibilities below.

1. Teaching and Advising: The primary responsibility of this position is to teach and mentor university students in philosophy, with particular emphasis on its intersections with economics, politics, and public policy.
2. Research: The role also involves conducting high-quality research focused on innovations in the field of philosophy.
3. Academic Administration: Additionally, successful candidates will contribute to academic administration tasks related to their field.
4. Teaching Load: Appointees will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate students both in residential and online programs. The teaching load will be commensurate with the appointment.

**Basic Qualification**(Required at the time of Application)

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Philosophy.

• Relevant Teaching experience at the undergraduate/graduate levels.

• Experience in undertaking high-quality independent research and its dissemination in peer-reviewed journal articles, manuscripts, working papers, and policy briefs, among others.
