Job Purpose
To provide academic leadership in the field of Finance through high-quality teaching, research, curriculum development, and institutional service. The role contributes to strengthening the university's academic reputation, accreditation standards, and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Finance (e.g., Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Markets, Risk Management).
- Ensure effective curriculum delivery aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Utilize modern teaching methodologies, including digital learning platforms.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work.
2. Research & Publications
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
- Contribute to the university's research strategy and ranking objectives.
- Secure research grants and participate in funded research initiatives.
- Present research at international conferences and academic forums.
3. Curriculum Development
- Design, review, and update course materials in line with industry trends and academic standards.
- Support accreditation processes (e.g., AACSB, ACBSP, MOE requirements if applicable).
- Integrate practical and industry-relevant content into teaching.
4. Academic Leadership
- Mentor junior faculty and support their academic development.
- Participate in departmental planning, committees, and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to policy development and academic governance.
5. Student Engagement & Support
- Provide academic advising and career guidance to students.
- Support student employability initiatives, internships, and industry linkage.
- Maintain high standards of student engagement and satisfaction.
6. Institutional Service
- Actively participate in university committees, events, and administrative duties.
- Support community engagement, outreach, and professional collaborations.
- Contribute to institutional accreditation and compliance activities.
Qualifications & Experience Education
- Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field (mandatory).
- Recognized academic credentials aligned with UAE Ministry of Education requirements.
Experience
- Minimum 10-15 years of academic experience, with at least 5 years at a senior level (Associate Professor/Professor).
- Proven track record of teaching in higher education institutions.
- Strong research profile with publications in indexed journals (Scopus/WoS preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong subject matter expertise in Finance.
