Riphah International University is seeking an accomplished Associate Professor of Practice to enrich its academic community. This role emphasizes bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by leveraging extensive professional experience and industry insights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 8 to 15 years in mid to senior-level managerial roles, demonstrating notable leadership and expertise in their field. The Associate Professor of Practice does not manage a team but plays a critical role in curriculum development, instructional design, and program coordination to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students. A strong background in research methodologies, academic writing, and public speaking is essential to foster an engaging and dynamic educational environment. The candidate is expected to contribute actively to course assessment, student mentorship, and collaboration with industry partners to align academic programs with evolving professional standards. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and instructional models such as the ADDIE Model will enhance the delivery and organization of course content. Preference will be given to candidates with international work experience and professional licensing, particularly engineers registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineers. Although publications are not mandatory, they will be considered a valuable asset, reflecting academic dedication and thought leadership.
Responsibilities

Develop and design curriculum that integrates practical professional experience with academic theory to provide relevant and engaging courses.

Implement instructional design techniques and utilize the ADDIE Model to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.

Conduct qualitative research and contribute to academic writing to support evidence-based teaching practices and scholarly activities.

Deliver compelling public speaking engagements, lectures, and presentations that stimulate student interest and foster an interactive learning environment.

Mentor and advise students, guiding their academic progress and professional development through personalized support and feedback.

Assess student performance through rigorous evaluation methods and adjust instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Coordinate academic programs by collaborating with faculty, administration, and industry stakeholders to maintain program relevance and compliance with accreditation standards.

Leverage Learning Management Systems to organize course materials, facilitate communication, and track student progress efficiently.

Engage with industry professionals and participate in international conferences and expos to stay abreast of current trends and integrate emerging practices into course offerings.
