Summary:
We are looking for a driven Associate Project Manager with a solid business development foundation to join our delivery team. This role sits at the intersection of BD thinking and hands-on project execution — the ideal candidate brings 3–4 years of project management experience and at least 1 year in business development, giving them the commercial awareness to complement strong delivery instincts. You will work in close collaboration with the Delivery Head, acting as a key operational bridge between client commitments and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end project execution for assigned engagements — from kick-off through closure.
- Work directly with the Delivery Head to align project timelines, resource plans, and milestones.
- Track project health (scope, schedule, cost, quality) and proactively flag risks before they escalate.
- Drive sprint planning, status reporting, and stakeholder communication across internal and client teams.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, change requests, and closure reports.
- Leverage BD background to assist in pre-sales activities — shaping proposals, SOWs, and effort estimations.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to ensure smooth handoffs from deal close to delivery.
- Contribute to pipeline discussions, client discovery calls, and capability presentations as needed.
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within active accounts and surface them to the Delivery Head.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during delivery — building trust and managing expectations with confidence.
- Facilitate weekly/monthly governance calls and prepare meaningful progress updates for senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex project situations into clear, concise communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, design, QA, and third-party vendors.
- Support resource planning and workload balancing in coordination with the Delivery Head.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and outcome-focused team culture.
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in Business Development — including client acquisition, account growth, and/or pre-sales activities.
- 3–4 years of hands-on Project Management experience, managing end-to-end delivery of software or services projects.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership or a Delivery Head in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior exposure to IT services, consulting, or tech-enabled delivery environments strongly preferred.
- Strong command of project management methodologies — Agile, Scrum, or hybrid frameworks.
- Ability to read a room — equally comfortable in a client boardroom and a technical team standup.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; can write crisp executive summaries and run sharp governance calls.
- High emotional intelligence; able to manage pressure, ambiguity, and competing priorities without losing composure.
- Commercial mindset — understands how delivery performance connects to revenue, margins, and client retention.
- Proficiency in PM tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, Confluence, or equivalents.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is a strong advantage.
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is a plus.
