Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary

We are looking for an Associate Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory tests to ensure project quality. The QA engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing test processes, debugging, identifying bugs, and defining corrective actions. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with development and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirement Analysis & Test Planning

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

Test Execution & Bug Tracking

  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Monitor debugging process results and ensure fixes meet quality standards.

Process Development & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing projects to meet client needs.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., engineering, business, and managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and support users in implementing solutions.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, QA methodologies, and strategies to continuously improve testing efficiency.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Up to 1 year of work experience as a QA engineer.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
  • Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing.
  • Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum development process.
