Job Description
WSP Middle East is currently seeking an experienced Associate – Rail to join an incoming mega program under our Property & Buildings (P&B) business unit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and coordinating the rail aspects of a high-profile development program, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver world-class solutions.
Responsibilities

Lead rail-related design and engineering activities within a major integrated development.

Manage coordination across disciplines including civil, structural, systems, architecture, and MEP.

Act as a primary liaison with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for all rail-related matters.

Oversee delivery of rail components across planning, design, and construction stages.

Ensure integration of rail systems within a wider mixed-use urban or mega-development context.

Support project controls including cost, schedule, and quality management.

Contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and interface resolution.

Provide mentoring and technical leadership to junior team members.

Support reporting, documentation, and compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Rail Engineering, Transportation, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with proven exposure to large-scale rail or transit projects.

Previous experience working on complex or mega-programs in the Middle East, preferably in KSA.

Understanding of integration between rail systems and vertical/mixed-use infrastructure.

Strong client management, stakeholder coordination, and communication skills.

Knowledge of international codes and rail standards (e.g., AREMA, UIC, BS, EN).

Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation is highly desirable.
