 WSP in the Middle East are currently hiring for an Associate Director &ndash; Electrical/Mechanical (Data Centres), who will lead multidisciplinary design, advisory, and delivery of mission‑critical data centre projects across the UAE and KSA. The role will oversee client engagement, project strategy, technical excellence, and team leadership while ensuring all data centre solutions meet global standards for resilience, sustainability, and scalability.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Technical Expertise
 
 
 
 Oversee design and integration of MEP systems for mission‑critical facilities.
 
 
 Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
 
 
 Support the development of modular, cloud, and hyperscale data centre strategies.
 
 
 
 Client &amp; Stakeholder Management
 
 
 
 Act as the primary point of contact for key clients across UAE and KSA.
 
 
 Lead presentations, technical workshops, and design reviews.
 
 
 Build strong long-term client relationships and support business growth.
 
 
 
 Business Development
 
 
 
 Support proposal development, bid submissions, and commercial strategy.
 
 
 Identify market opportunities in digital infrastructure, cloud, colocation, and hyperscale developments.
 
 
 Work closely with regional leadership to drive the mission-critical services portfolio.
 
 
 
 Team Leadership
 
 
 
 Mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, and relevant disciplines.
 
 
 Lead resource planning and support capability development within the mission-critical practice.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or related field; Master&rsquo;s preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 12&ndash;18+ years of experience in mission-critical/data centre design, delivery, or advisory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of Tier standards, NFPA, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute guidelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience in GCC markets (UAE and/or KSA).
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with large consultancies or international engineering firms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑facing abilities.
 </li>

 Pre-Contract Management:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify commercial and contractual risks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and finalize contract agreements, RFPs, ITTs, addenda, and clarifications in line with WSP and client standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct cost estimation, commercial analysis, and review subcontractor/supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assess contractual risks and ensure compliance with company policies and client procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with engineering, design, finance, and legal teams to ensure completeness of tender submissions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in pre-tender meetings, clarifications, and negotiations with clients and consultants.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support value engineering initiatives to optimize design and cost efficiency.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Responsibilities

 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 MMUP (Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning) certification is a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 15 years in contract and commercial management within the construction industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 5 years of experience working on Ashghal infrastructure projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record in managing FIDIC-based contracts and handling claims and disputes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong negotiation and communication skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
 </li>
 <li>
 In-depth knowledge of Qatari construction laws and regulations.

 to support the development of world‑class outdoor environments, public realm projects, and large‑scale urban landscapes across the UAE and KSA. The ideal candidate combines strong landscape design fundamentals with advanced hand and digital 3D visualization capability to help bring project concepts to life.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Design &amp; Visualization
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Produce high‑quality hand and digital 3D sketches, conceptual models, and visualizations using tools such as SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and other visualization platforms.

 Translate design briefs, CAD drawings, and hand sketches into detailed and realistic hand and digital 3D landscape representations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop concept, schematic, and detailed landscape designs for a variety of project types including parks, urban spaces, mixed‑use developments, and infrastructure‑related landscapes through graphical presentation.
