The Associate Recruitment Consultant role is an exciting entry point into the world of recruitment. It’s designed for ambitious individuals with a background in sales, customer service, or phone-based roles who are confident communicators, thrive on building relationships, and are motivated by results.


You’ll receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced consultants, giving you the tools to become a specialist in candidate sourcing, relationship-building, and market insight. This role is the first step towards becoming a full 360 Recruitment Consultant, where you’ll manage both clients and candidates.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Recruitment Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Candidate Sourcing & Qualification
  • Proactively identify and engage potential candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and networking.
  • Screen CVs, assess suitability, and conduct initial interviews to qualify candidates.
  • Relationship Building
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with candidates over the phone, via email, and on LinkedIn.
  • Provide excellent candidate experience by keeping them informed, engaged, and supported throughout the process.
  • Supporting Senior Consultants
  • Partner with senior consultants to support live vacancies across the technology sector (or relevant industry).
  • Assist with shortlisting, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate pipelines.
  • Market Research & Insights
  • Develop an understanding of your specialist market, tracking trends, competitor activity, and talent movements.
  • Contribute to the team’s knowledge base by sharing insights that help shape recruitment strategies.

You don’t need prior recruitment or tech industry experience; we’ll teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is your mindset, skills, and drive to succeed:

  • Experience in sales, telesales, customer service, or other phone-based roles is advantageous.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people and can build rapport quickly.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Resilience, persistence, and the motivation to hit targets and achieve results.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
