Associate Research Professor in Political Sciences

Job Summary
To create and manage research projects across several research lines for the research center in Political Sciences, including thesis production, research methods, and seminars.

Key Responsibilities

  • To create and manage research projects across multiple research lines for the research center in Political Sciences, including thesis production, research methods, and seminars.
  • Contribute to various committees at the program, center, and university levels.
  • Contribute to the research profile of the center through research publications.
  • Contribute to the research profile of the college through peer-reviewed publications.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Center.
  • Serve as a student advisor.
  • Teach courses in the area of expertise.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certifications

    • PhD Degree in Political Sciences

    Languages

    • Arabic (required)
    • English (required)

    Experience

    • PhD in Political Science
    • Associate Professor rank
    • Strong peer-reviewed publication record in a relevant discipline
    • Strong knowledge and experience with qualitative research design (collecting, recording, and analyzing data)
    • Strong knowledge in preparing research proposals and submitting funding applications
    • Teaching experience at the tertiary level
    • Service to the profession, including evidence of journal reviewing, grant refereeing, and academic promotion refereeing
    • Familiarity with educational technologies used in higher education
    • Awareness of working with people from diverse backgrounds
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
