Join our team as an Associate Research/Data Analyst in the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS) Office of Epidemiology! In this role, you’ll support both the Dental Health Program and the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) evaluation, working on projects that improve access to care and strengthen public health systems statewide.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do
  • Collect, clean, and manage data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability for program evaluation and reporting.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform public health strategies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings clearly to program managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program teams to understand data needs and provide actionable recommendations for improving health outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline data processes and enhance analytic capabilities.
Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in public health, data science, statistics, or a related field
  • 0-2 years relevant job experience
  • Ability to work perform basic queries and analyze data
  • Knowledge of basic research methods & analysis
  • Experience with Tableau helpful, but not required
