This position can be filled as an Associate Scientist or Scientist I based on candidate experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Mammalian cell culture, sterile media preparation, aseptic technique, and sterile technique.
- Familiar with ELISA & LN2 inventory.
- In charge of clean room suite (maintenance and all cleaning of suite and associated equipment)
- Ability to learn and run roller bottle productions independently.
- Media and reagent inventory
- Understanding of adherent and suspension cell lines, cell banking, ascites production and cell lysates.
- Maintain laboratory space, equipment, and inventory in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Dependable attendance along with the ability to be a flexible and effective team player.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, proactive planning, and ability to organize and carry out tasks with quality in a timely fashion.
- Takes initiative in delivering results on time and responding to needs of the team
- Responds to direction as provided and follows established maintenance of notebook records and documentation standards
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and interest in Biological Sciences
- Understanding of basic immunology concepts
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Willing to learn new techniques
- Ability to perform laboratory calculations and conversions
- Ability to work and maintain strong relationships with department managers, team members and other departmental staff.
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Command of the English language, written and oral
- Ability to read and understand Standard Operation Procedures, protocols and templates
- Knowledge of QSR/cGMP guidelines
Education:
- Associate’s degree or 1+ years lab experience
