Summary
We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Digital Messaging Platform team within Genesys Cloud. You'll be part of a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our customer experience digital messaging communication services. The ideal candidate will help drive innovation in our cloud-based email infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our messaging services.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
Design, develop, and maintain scalable messaging processing services within our cloud-based microservice architecture
Implement features supporting message routing, delivery, tracking, and analytics
Build and maintain integrations with social networks such as Meta and X
Participate in on-call rotation to maintain service reliability
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design reviews
Write comprehensive automated tests for new features and existing functionality
Minimum Requirements:
1+ years of software engineering experience with Java
Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures
Proven track record of building fault-tolerant and highly available systems
Proficiency in working with REST APIs
Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in distributed teams
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience working with Meta, X and / or any other social network
DynamoDB for message storage and tracking
SQS/SNS for asynchronous message processing
Lambda for serverless
Knowledge of messaging deliverability best practices
Experience with monitoring and observability tools
Familiarity with compliance requirements (GDPR, CAN-SPAM)
Work Environment:
