Associate Technical Writer

Position Summary

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and complete writing assignment according to set standards. Ensure brevity, clarity, conciseness, and adherence to the style guide and terminology guidelines.
• Create self-learning tutorial videos using Captivate.
• Create and maintain product documentation for concurrent and past releases.
• Develop a strong knowledge of the product to be regarded as an SME.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather information.
• Ensure delivery of quality documentation by following review and delivery processes and procedures.
• Ensure proper storage and archiving of documentation by following version control policies and procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to the delivery schedules.
• Experience creating CBTs, and technical documentation for administrator and end user audience.
• Intermediate to expert level experience with documentation tools: Adobe TCS (FrameMaker, Robohelp, and Captivate)
• Excellent technical writing skills and ability to peer review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing.
• Ability to work under tight timelines.
• Experience using version control tools such as Git.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent, self-driven, and collaborative.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team, and with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of single-sourcing can be an advantage.
• 0.5-3 years of experience in technical writing/ documentation
