Qualcomm Institute (QI), at the University of California, San Diego, (qi.ucsd.edu) is conducting an open search for a Research Scientist (Associate or Full level) in Remote Sensing, Mapping, Modeling and Multimodal digital documentation and digital twin synthesis. QI is committed to academic excellence and diversity.
Responsibilities include: Author/Co-author peer reviewed publications. Collaborate with PIs, postdocs and graduate student researchers to develop proposals and bring in substantial funding to support new and ongoing research projects. Identify and cultivate funding and collaborative opportunities that are mutually beneficial. Publish novel research related to research focus and demonstrate the highest standards of professional research in higher education.
Appointment durations vary depending on the length of the research project and availability of funding.
Doctorate degree in Satellite and Remote Sensing, Mapping, Modeling, or related field is required at time of application. Evidence of independent scholarly impact and research productivity. Evidence of and/or demonstrated ability to teach and advise students.
