Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and components according to technical instructions.
  • Use basic hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Conduct inspections on finished products for defects or quality issues.
  • Package and label products as per standing instructions.
  • Adhere to safety procedures/protocols and regulations related to the handling and assembly of explosive materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspections, and test results.
  • Report any issues or deviations from standard procedures to the supervisor.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of assembly tools and equipment.

Ensure all assembly equipment and tools are in good working condition.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech/Diploma or equivalent qualification mechanical or related discipline.
  • 5+ year experience in the assembly of mechanical components in a light engineering manufacturing company.
  • Experience in assembly of grenades, medium calibre ammunition, fuze components, including primers and detonators is highly desirable.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision in assembly work and commitment to quality.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to explosive materials.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow technical drawings, specifications and technical instructions.

Willingness to work in shifts
