Asst. Accountant

Job Summary

Emirates International Lubricants Industries LLC is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our finance department. Candidates must have at least 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, with solid knowledge of VAT, bank reconciliation, and daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations
• Maintain accurate ledgers and financial records
• Assist in monthly and annual financial reporting
• Support external/internal audits and ensure timely documentation
• Handle accounts payable and receivable entries
• Perform other general assistant accountant duties as required

Qualifications RequiredEducation & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (e.g., B.Com, BBA)
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage but not mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within the UAE
• Proven experience in VAT handling, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, QuickBooks, Excel)
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Immediate availability is strongly preferred
