The Assistant Director Talent Development plays a strategic role in driving workforce growth, performance, and organizational effectiveness. This position leads to the design and delivery of scalable learning initiatives, leadership development programs, and talent learner strategies that align with business objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
Partner with senior leaders to assess talent needs and align development strategies with business goals
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, and career pathing
Develop and facilitate high-impact workshops, coaching sessions, and learning experiences for employees at all levels
Curate and manage digital learning platforms and content libraries
Support performance management cycles, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning
Drive succession planning and high-potential identification processes
Use qualitative and quantitative data to measure program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement
Report on KPIs and ROI of talent initiatives to executive stakeholders
Champion DEI principles and embed inclusive practices into all development efforts
Support management initiatives through targeted learning and communication strategies
Conduct business needs analysis to identify training gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions.
Create compelling and interactive learning content that is engaging, visually appealing, and aligned with learning objectives.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and e-learning.
Develop and implement assessment instruments to measure the effectiveness of training programs and the transfer of knowledge to the job.
Analyze data and provide recommendations for program improvements to management.
Administer and manage content within the Learning Management System (LMS), track learner progress, and generate reports on training effectiveness.
Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
Follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for designing effective learning solutions.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this role.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):
Bachelor's degree in organizational development, HR, Psychology, or related field (master's preferred)
7+ years of experience in talent development, learning & development, or organizational effectiveness
Proven success in designing and scaling leadership development programs
Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with learning technologies, LMS platforms, and digital content creation
Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights
Experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
Tribal Gaming experience highly preferred.
Experience working in a tribal organization is a plus.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) administration.
Strategic thinker with a bias for action
Exceptional communicator and relationship builder
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools.
Must pass periodic random drug screens.
Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment

Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
