Job Title: HR Manager

Job Summary:

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the biscuit manufacturing factory. This includes talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, performance management, compliance with labor laws, compensation and benefits, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment. The HR Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive company culture and ensuring the effective deployment of human capital to support the factory's production goals.

Key Responsibilities:1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet staffing requirements in production, maintenance, quality control, and administration.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify manpower needs and prepare job descriptions.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding new employees.
  • Ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce in line with company policies.

2. Employee Relations:

  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to resolve workplace issues and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Foster a positive working environment through employee engagement activities, feedback surveys, and communication channels.
  • Address employee grievances, handle disciplinary issues, and ensure compliance with factory policies and procedures.

3. Training and Development:

  • Assess training needs and coordinate skill development programs, safety training, and leadership development for all levels of staff.
  • Maintain records of employee training and ensure employees are up-to-date with required certifications.
  • Promote a continuous learning culture and drive performance improvement through targeted development initiatives.

4. Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance management system, including setting goals, conducting performance appraisals, and providing feedback to employees.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers in handling performance-related issues.
  • Implement strategies to improve employee performance and align individual goals with organizational objectives.

5. Compliance and Labor Law:

  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal labor laws, regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with factory policies and industrial relations practices.
  • Manage work permits and contracts for foreign workers, if applicable.

6. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Develop and implement competitive salary and benefits structures to attract and retain talent.
  • Administer payroll and ensure timely processing of employee wages, bonuses, and other financial benefits.
  • Handle employee leave, attendance, and other HR-related administrative functions.

7. Health and Safety:

  • Work closely with the safety team to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Promote safety training and awareness programs to reduce workplace accidents.
  • Ensure that health and wellness initiatives are in place to support employee well-being.

8. Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Design and implement employee engagement strategies to reduce turnover and improve job satisfaction.
  • Organize team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and other initiatives to improve morale.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention strategies.

9. HR Strategy and Reporting:

  • Work closely with senior management to align HR initiatives with the factory's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, recruitment success, employee satisfaction, and training outcomes.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing HR insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Previous experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Ability to work in a factory setting with exposure to production environments and machinery.
  • Some flexibility in hours may be required to support shift workers or address HR issues outside of standard office hours.
