As the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for Behavioral Health, you’ll provide clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level—supporting staff through mentorship, performance management, staffing coordination, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality therapeutic care.

With a 7:1 patient-to-RN ratio, this leader plays a vital role in maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu, supporting crisis intervention efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. This role supports patients experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, life stressors, and stress-related physical symptoms—strengthening the connection between emotional well-being and overall health.
Behavioral Health experience preferred
Experience in acute inpatient psychiatric or substance use settings
Demonstrated leadership experience (Charge RN or informal leadership experience welcomed)
Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
Knowledge of Behavioral Health safety and regulatory standards
Experience with EMR systems (preferably Epic)
Excellent communication and team-building abilities
