Court Administration Promotional Opportunity: Court IT Project Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Manage day-to-day operational activities of computer system and software application development projects, plan and coordinate the project resources, budgets and timelines, and enforce quality standards under general supervision.
This position is not covered under the Pinal County Merit System. Incumbents in this position serve at the pleasure of their respective Appointing Authority. The employment relationship of incumbents in this position is "at will"; the employee may be terminated at any time, for any reason, with or without cause.

The Superior Court in Pinal County values your experience. We review every candidate for a salary offer that is both equitable and applicable to the position range. Based upon your current salary, direct experience and background, a salary offer may be presented to you within our starting minimum to midpoint of range ($57,909 - $73,834).

TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES-
Manage IT project activities and functions, create and execute project work plans, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Manage and enforce project priorities and maintain the project management standards.

Conduct and review business requirements analysis, assessments, and business process workflow analysis.

Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.

Review project deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.

Effectively apply County IT methodology and enforce project standards, prepare for engagement reviews and manage quality assurance procedures, and minimize County exposure and risk on projects.

Assure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.

Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and build client relationships.

Analyze progress of IT projects, recommend corrective actions, and report on project status.

Plan and manage the activities of assigned staff, prioritize and assign tasks and projects, train and coach staff, monitor work, develop staff skills, and evaluate performance, and review the work of staff to assure the work quality and timely completion of assigned duties and responsibilities.

Negotiate contracts and contractual changes and coordinate preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.

Coordinate IT project activities with other County departments and outside agencies.

Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.

Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.

Knowledge of principles and practices of integration and quality management for IT projects.

Knowledge of IT department project policies and procedures and PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) guide.

Skill in analyzing IT project issues, evaluating alternatives, and recommending methods, procedures, and techniques for resolution of operational issues.

Skill in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing IT projects.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is sedentary requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The work also requires the ability to perform repetitive motion, walk, speak, hear, stand, walk, and demonstrate visual and mental acuity.
