Impera Sports is looking for an experienced and passionate Athletics Coach to join our team in Riyadh. As an Athletics Coach, you will play a vital role in developing the speed, strength, endurance, and discipline of students aged 7 and above across multiple track and field events. We are seeking someone with strong instructional and leadership skills who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in our supportive and dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Sports Manager, Athletics Unit Head, and Administration to achieve academy-wide goals.
- Provide expertise in athletics to promote age-appropriate training across sprints, middle distance, long distance, jumps, and throws.
- Monitor and support students who require special attention, including those with special needs.
- Collaborate with management to establish strategic directions and mentor assistant coaches.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills when engaging with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Conduct planning meetings with coaching staff and communicate with parents when required.
Coaching Duties
- Take attendance at each session using the academy’s system.
- Communicate key instructions and motivational messages to athletes during training.
- Assess skill levels and adjust training groups accordingly, in coordination with the manager.
- Review lesson plans, drills, and schedules prior to each session.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all athletes.
- Maintain up-to-date athlete profiles, including progress records and photos.
- Follow up with absent athletes and track attendance patterns.
- Regularly update parents on progress using the academy’s evaluation and reporting system.
- Use follow-up, make-up class, and withdrawal reports effectively.
Parent Engagement
- Provide constructive feedback on athlete progress and performance development.
- Address punctuality and consistent lateness to sessions.
- Encourage parents to add additional training days where beneficial.
- Suggest schedule adjustments to fit student needs and athletic abilities.
- Motivate athletes to participate in academy competitions, track meets, and events.
- Ensure all athletes wear proper training kit and footwear.
Class Preparation & Standards
- Arrive 30 minutes before each session to take attendance and prepare the track/field area.
- Wear the official academy uniform.
- Store mobile phones during training sessions.
- Set up all required equipment (hurdles, cones, starting blocks, mats, measuring tools) before class begins.
- Review the session plan and clarify uncertainties with the Unit Head.
Operational Duties
- Coordinate with the designated Health & Safety for venue concerns.
- Complete a daily end-of-session report.
- Assist new children during tryout sessions and advise parents on suitable groups.
- Supervise safe student pickups according to academy policy.
- Monitor session participation and identify opportunities for enrollment growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recognized athletics coaching certification (IAAF World Athletics, national federation, or equivalent).
- Proven experience coaching children in track and field disciplines, from beginner to competitive level.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt training for mixed-ability groups.
- Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate before starting.

Pay: ﷼8,000.00 - ﷼12,000.00 per month
