Applied Technology Solutions is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to join our growing team. The HR Specialist will play a key role in supporting ATS’s workforce needs by leading full-cycle recruitment efforts and ensuring we attract, select, and retain top talent. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for staffing and recruitment activities, while also supporting a variety of additional corporate activities for our growing small business.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes, evaluates, and implements HR policies and practices coupled with effective employee communication processes.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Provides change management in support of the corporation’s significant growth activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Maintain relationships with staffing agencies and other recruiting partners to ensure talent pipelines are aligned with company needs.
- Oversee onboarding of new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Forecasts future staffing, develops and implements staffing plans, and manages associated budgets.
- Analyzes wage and salary data to determine the company's compensation framework.
- Partners closely with vendors to administer cost-effective employee benefit plans.
- Develops and manages training material. Tracks and reports employee training.
- Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Provides reporting of records to OFCCP, DOL, EEOC, and other agencies required by country, federal, state, county and local law or local governing bodies.
- Develops compensation plans, coordinates training programs, analyzes and recommends benefit changes.
- Participates as a member of the senior management team conducting risk reduction analysis, policy improvements, and strategy.
- Supports other corporate activities where required such as payroll, office management, visitor processing, etc.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong MS Office skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization
- US citizenship, Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance are requirements for employment.
Desired:
- Experience providing reporting of records to support audits by OFCCP, DOL, EEOC, and other agencies required by law or local governing bodies.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in business operations with a DOD technical services contractor.
- SPHR or SHRM certification.
