About the Role
Housekeeping Attendant will service the private homes, guest room , public area and supporting operational needs as a runner to the highest standard, through smart and neat appearance, which reflects the high standards of SIRO Boka Place. A warm genuine smile which shows a personal interest in each Guest and a genuine eagerness to be of service at any time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To follow and maintain all standards and procedures for housekeeping service of guest rooms, private homes and public area.
- Maintain and clean private home, guest room, suite, corridor, pantries and public area according to SIRO and LQA Standards.
- Make notes, collect, and action on any guest requests and preferences.
- Ensure all interactions with guests are in a professional and polite manner.
- Can answer the guest s questions about the generic hotel services and facilities.
- Ensure proper use and care of equipment.
- Follow hotel's Lost and Found procedures diligently, ensuring all found items are documented, stored securely, and reported to management.
- Immediately report any valuable items, documents, or sensitive materials found in guest rooms or public areas to the Team Leader Housekeeping, Assistant Manager Housekeeping or Executive Housekeeper
- Assist guests in retrieving lost items according to established policies.
- Ensure supplies, amenities, linens, and refreshment center are replenished as per standard.
- Ensure the guest room linen are well looked after.
- Update guest room status upon completion of service.
- Always keep work areas neat and tidy and stocked according to the levels required.
- Keep pantry neat and in good order.
- The ability to maintain hygienic & safe work practices.
- The ability to take ownership in assigned area of preventative maintenance programs and ensure the work and cleanliness is to the highest possible standards and that it is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all defects related to room equipment, amenities, public areas, and other aspects of Hotel/Siro Private Homes are promptly reported.
- Follow up diligently to ensure these issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner to maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Provide bed decorations and bath ceremonies when required.
- Ensure all furniture and fixtures are free of dust.
- Expiry dates are checked regularly and refilled in advance of expiry.
- Ensure all cutleries and glassware in the guest room and suite are refreshed as per standard.
- Assist in new colleague job skill training as and when requested by the superiors.
- Perform Turn Down service in accordance with established standards related VIP categories in case of required.
- Act as a runner to support housekeeping operations by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to guest rooms and housekeeping carts.
- Collect and transport dirty linens and towels to the laundry room for cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Clean and sanitize public area restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Report anything not functioning properly, broken, stolen or anything related to the Housekeeping Team Leader.
- Report incidents and guest complains to Team Leader Housekeeping, Assistant Manager Housekeeping or Executive Houskeeper.
- Ensure that the task provided daily are executed to the expectation of SIRO Boka Place standard.
- Attends and participates in team events.
- Participates in required training and briefings related to the job.
- Effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleagues at all levels.
- Be motivated to ensure transfer of knowledge and promote a continuously positive work environment.
- Always assure professional attitude towards guest and colleagues.
- Ensure to always meet Grooming and Hygiene policy of SIRO Boka Place when in uniform.
- Be flexible in the job role, assist in other tasks in the department, Hotel and Private Homes when requested by Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Manager Housekeeping and Team Leader Housekeeping.
