Advance your legal career while supporting one of Louisiana’s most critical public service programs as an Attorney with the Louisiana Department of Health. Based at headquarters within the Bureau of Legal Services, this role provides high-level legal support to the Office of Management and Finance and works closely with Medicaid program staff on complex federal and state Medicaid matters. You’ll serve as specialized legal counsel on Medicaid financial eligibility, appeals, and the Medicaid unwind, while contributing to high-impact litigation and department-wide legal initiatives. Compensation: This position is eligible for the following Special Entrance Rates (SER), as well as a Premium Pay of up to $2.00/hr for hours worked based on longevity.
Attorney 1 – $27.08 hr / $2,166.40 bi-weekly
Attorney 2 – $28.98 hr / $2,318.40 bi-weekly
Attorney 3 – $32.02 hr / $2,561.60 bi-weekly
Attorney 4 – $34.26 hr / $2,740.80 bi-weekly
