Title: Lawyer
Location: Chicago, IL- Hybrid (onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Hours: M-F regular 40 hour work week; Core Hours 10-3 (flexible with start and end time)
Type: Contract
Pay: exactly $56/hour- no flex, exact rate
Length: 3.5 months- ending 12/31/25, expected to start between 10/1-10/14
Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired

• Preference for an attorney with transactional and/or franchise law experience.
• Critical success factors for the position include the ability to interpret and apply franchise policies to individual situations and transactions, draft and manage a variety of agreements with careful attention to detail, and provide pragmatic and effective legal advice that advances the objectives of the business.
• Strong technical expertise, including transactional experience, and knowledge of the US legal system and laws.
• Strong people skills, including the ability to effectively influence others, and collaborate in a team environment.

Associate Counsel
U.S. Business Counsel and Franchising Team
As a contract attorney on U.S. Business and Franchising Team, this attorney will provide legal counsel and support to the Company's franchise function, helping to create and revise critical agreements in support of company's relationship with its franchisees. The position reports to the Senior Counsel of the U.S. Business Counsel and Franchising Team.
Overall Responsibilities
This attorney will assist in the preparation and completion of documentation for franchising restaurant franchise transactions, including helping to facilitate transactions including sales between operators, sale of company-owned restaurants and acquisitions of owner/operator restaurants.
This attorney will support the lawyers who have responsibility and ownership for the effective handling of legal matters for Company's USA and key members of the U.S. leadership team.
This person will work closely with various members of the Legal Department to ensure appropriate alignment, collaboration and consistency and to identify and implement best practices.
Required Qualifications
