Litigation Attorney - Healthcare

Salary up to $220,000 (DOE)
A prominent, multi-practice law firm is seeking a Healthcare Litigation Attorney to manage a dynamic caseload centered on complex disputes within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with matters involving Medicare/Medicaid regulations, fraud and abuse issues, professional liability, medical malpractice, unjust enrichment, and other sophisticated healthcare-related claims. This role operates within the firm’s Commercial & Complex Litigation practice.
Work Arrangement
This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring consistent on-site presence each week. During the initial integration period, more frequent in-office attendance will be expected.
Core Responsibilities

Handle cases from pre-suit assessment through final resolution.

Lead all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.

Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials.

Conduct and defend fact and expert depositions.

Represent clients in court, arbitration forums, and administrative proceedings.

Develop and implement case strategies across a diverse litigation portfolio.

Offer guidance to team members and contribute to improved processes and best practices.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications

Active New Jersey Bar license in good standing.

Minimum 7+ years of litigation experience, including substantial deposition practice.

Documented first- or second-chair trial or arbitration experience.

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Direct background in healthcare litigation and/or employment-related litigation.
