POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Deputy Prosecuting Attorney II handles and manages more complex felony and misdemeanor cases. The Deputy Prosecuting Attorney II may be assigned to manage small units, specialty units, specialty courts, magistrate division, juvenile division, preliminary hearing team, or trial team. This position is located in the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Criminal Division.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Deputy Prosecuting Attorney II operates independently and has more experience to handle complex cases. The Deputy Prosecutor II works in a variety of legal environments and is exposed to numerous more complex caseload types. The Deputy Prosecuting Attorney II may have responsibilities to supervise and train deputy prosecutors and may be assigned to a specialty division. The Deputy Prosecuting Attorney II may provide training for law enforcement officers regarding all aspects of criminal law.
