ATTORNEY - MEDICAL DEFENSE LITIGATION

Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci LLP, a highly respected 30-attorney law firm with a strong presence in commercial and defense litigation, is seeking a talented Defense Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense experience for a full-time position at our beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, FL office. Nursing home defense experience, or prior prosecutor or public defender with litigation experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload from presuit through arbitration/trial, including depositions, discovery, trial pleadings, and court appearances.
• Handle trial and arbitration matters with confidence and tenacity.
• Familiarity with Florida and Federal rules of civil procedure, e-filing, and court deadlines.
• Employ creative defense strategies to advocate for our clients.
• Engage directly with clients, offering strategic advice on business matters.
• Deliver seminars to clients as needed.
• Review and evaluate medical records in litigation matters.
• Maintain an organized, detail-oriented approach while handling a high volume of cases.
• Exhibit excellent communication, writing, and research skills.
• Build strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and staff.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of insurance defense experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Bar rules and Federal rules of civil procedure.
• Admission to the Florida Bar (Required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and/or Lexis.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage simultaneous projects.
